Work In Progress Sama Banjul

Work continues on our project in Banjul, The Gambia, where the design is gradually taking shape through the efforts of the site team. This progress video, recorded on 30 October 2026, offers a glimpse into the ongoing construction and the work involved in turning architectural drawings into a built reality. At this stage, every step contributes to the development of the project. As construction moves forward, the relationships between spaces, proportions, and architectural elements become easier to appreciate. Ideas first explored through plans and visualisations begin to acquire a physical presence, allowing the team to assess the emerging building.

Progress on site also depends on the less visible work behind the scenes: reviewing details, coordinating activities, resolving practical questions, and maintaining communication between everyone involved. These daily efforts help guide the transition from one phase of construction to the next. For us, documenting the process is an opportunity to reflect on how the project evolves over time and to recognise the contribution of the people bringing it to life. There is still work ahead, and we look forward to sharing further updates from Banjul as construction advances, the spaces become more defined, and the project moves steadily towards its finished form.
